One day closer to race weekend and fingers crossed the forecast looks good! NYOA staff will start arriving on site tonight with scoring and registration equipment and we will try to grab some photos.
Notes:
1. ONLINE REGISTRATION: Online will close by 9am on Friday morning May 17th. Please utilize the system if you are able. You must have a valid AMA membership and be a current 2024 series member to use the online system.
2. PIT PASSES: Will be available at this round. Cost is $20 and they will be available at the gate for purchase. Please note all pit vehicles must have a Round 2 sticker visible or you will be told to park it. As always, handicap passes are available from registration for free with proper documentation.
3. SCORING: Transponder scoring is the official scoring method at NYOA events. Having multiple transponders on the helmet you are using at NYOA can cause you to not be scored properly. We would ask that you remove them. It is imperative that your NYOA number is clearly visible on your helmet (both sides and back-please be mindful of your goggle strap covering the stickers) and on your machine. This will assist hand scoring that we use as a backup. It is your responsibility to check with registration at the event to be sure you have the correct transponder number connected to your race number. If you double class and change helmets, please pay close attention to this detail.
4. NUMBERS: If you pre-registered online for the 2024 season, NYOA and Todd Swain of 725 Designs partnered to provide helmet stickers made of graphic weight material. These are available for pick up at registration if you did not get them at Round 1. If you registered later and would like a set, Todd has them available for sale please contact him to order.
5. PARKING: Please follow promoter directions when parking. We want you to be respectful of the land and our hosts for the weekend. Be mindful of parking close, do not take more space than needed and do not block anyone in without asking. Youth families often need to leave as soon as they are done racing to get to another event and being blocked in can be very frustrating. Please be courteous.
Finish up your prep and packing and get ready for a great weekend! We will be back with some last minutes notes tomorrow!
We're back NYOA! Up next is ROUND 2, BERKSHIRE HILLS. We are looking forward to another great event and can't wait to see everyone.
See the attached flyer for some details shared by the promoter.
Online registration is currently open for 2024 series members with a valid AMA card and will close on Friday morning.
Please note we are cash only once on site so please plan accordingly.
We will be back later this week with more details!
Online registration is now open for Round 2 at NYOA.net.
Please note if you signed up for an AMA membership at the last race, they most likely are not in the system yet as the forms were mailed. You may have to register at the track this round.
We will be back later in the week with more details from the promoter.
